Episode guides

There are currently 6 episodes, listed here in order of premiere. The show itself premiered on August 24, 2001. I also believe that date's Grey DeLisle's birthday, please correct me if I'm wrong!

Of course, before I begin, I must warn you about THE WHISTLY. Before each episode, there's a brief scene of Mandy saying SOMETHING. I named it that, as in the original whistlies had a whistling sound as Mandy ducked at the end of the scene. I hold the whistly very dearly and look forward to hearing it every time I watch Grim & Evil.

*SPOILER ALERT*

Episode 1 Whistly: 'Shut up! Prepare for the show.' (She ducks down)
Billy and Mandy #1- Meet the Reaper
This episode starts out with Billy happily playing with his GI Jerks. Suddenly, his play is interrupted. It's a blond girl with a magnifying glass, melting the action figures. I actually know the script pretty well, I'll write it here. TAKE WITH A GRAIN OF SALT! I'm a bit rusty.

BILLY: This is it, men. Steady, here it comes! Ahhh, eeek, NO, NO, NO!! Please stop attacking us, mr. monster. We only wanted to be your friend. Doh, I'm sorry. Let's make up! *kiss* Yay!!

*the music changes>* MANDY: THAT'S when the monster melted the foolish soldier's brain w/ his heat ray vision..*melts soldier*

BILLY: Aww, he had a wife and 2 kids!

MANDY: He's better off now.

BILLY: *wipes nose* Sniff! And how are you today, Mandy?

BILLY: Mr. snuggles? Oh, it's his 10th birthday today!! *whispers* That's like a JILLION in hamster years!

*they go inside* MANDY: Looks like he's about ready to kick the bucket..

BILLY: *ignoring her* Happy birthday! Mr. snuggles! Hey, wanna see him do a trick?

MANDY: No.

BILLY: *ignoring her again* Mr. snuggles, kiss kiss!

*mr. snuggles starts foaming at the mouth and attacks Billy*

MANDY: Umm...that was more of a bite than a KISS..

*something happens, swirling vortex appears*

BILLY: What's THAT??

MANDY: *tastes it* It seems to be a swirling vortex of pure evil, coming out of your floor. *tastes it again*

*a tall, lean figure smiles and grabs Mr. Snuggles*

BILLY: OOH, OOH, LOOK! It's SANTA! Santa Claus!!

*the music fades and lights turn on again*

MANDY: That's not Santa, you stooge! That's the Grim Reaper..

BILLY: Oh. Do I still get presents?

GRIM: Ah, well, NO.

NOTE: I'm not too sure about the next sequence!!

BILLY: Oh boy, oh BOY! You brought presents for Mr. Snuggles!!

GRIM: NO. I'm taking him away.

BILLY: To the North Pole?

GRIM: You see, i'm just doing my job, but i'm afriad it's CURTAINS for Mr. Snuggles.

BILLY: You got him curtains??

GRIM: NO *the hamster bites him* Ahh, ooh, ooh!!

MANDY: You'll have to forgive Billy, he's an idiot.

BILLY: Hey, can I borrow your hockey stick?? *grabs Grim's scythe* FORE!!

MANDY: Mr. Reaper, you are TRULY a horriffic and powerful figure, and..I respect that! However, I can NOT allow you to take Mr. snuggles.

GRIM: How DARE you give orders to me! I have powers you can't possibly imagine!

MANDY: Tea?

GRIM: Oh, thank you!

*it spills out of where his esophagus should be, and Billy crashes through the table*

BILLY: Aww, you stained your dress..

GRIM: It's NOT a dress! Now give me the hamster!!

MANDY: NO.

GRIM: NO?? Well, why not?

MANDY: I'll make a deal with you. We'll play a game with you. And if you win, you can have Mr. snuggles.

BILLY: OOH, OOH! Can he have ME too?

MANDY: *ponders* Yes, and if we win, we keep Mr. Snuggles.

GRIM: *laughs evily* I love games, and I never lose.

MANDY: Neither do I.

GRIM: Ugh. Well..If you win- which you won't.. I'll be your best friend forever. Follow me.

*he cuts a gap in the wall and they are sucked in.*

BILLY: Gulp..

*in underworld*

GRIM: Welcome to Limbo, where we will be playing MY favorite game..the limbo!!

*his scythe changes into a limbo stick, and he bends backwards and goes under. Mandy, since she's so short, simply walks under.*

GRIM: I think we need a slight adjustment.

*billy bends back and goes under*

GRIM: THAT should do it!

BILLY: Gosh! I can't go THAT low! GRIM: Aah, but I can! *goes down all the way, mostly way through, when..*
Oh yes *to Mandy* Any last words before you lose??

MANDY: *calmly* Just 2. KISS KISS.

*Mr snuggles, who was brought along, does his trick and hits Grim in the eye socket, resulting in him hitting the stick.*

MANDY: You lose.

GRIM: B-but this isn't FAIR!!

MANDY: A deal is a deal, we keep Mr. Snuggles.

BILLY: YEAH, and now you're our best friend FOREVER!!!!!!

GRIM: This is impossible!! I am the GRIM REAPER! MASTER OF THE FORCES OF LIFE AND DEATH!!

MANDY: Not anymore.

*back in Billy's room*

BILLY:See, being our best friend is pretty fun, huh! And the best part is..you can sleep over at both our houses!! *it shows Grim without his head* Ooh, PILLOW FIGHT! *starts whacking him with pillow*

GRIM: Ow!! OOH!!

*his head turns to Mandy, who's reading a book.*

GRIM: I loathe you..
Why me?!

THE END
Oookay. That took me about 45 mins.

Overall, this was my favorite episode for a very long time, until I saw A Dumb Wish. This episode features the "old" drawing style, as it was the episode shown in 2000 for the Big Pick Weekend. However, i didn't get Cartoon Network then, so I missed that.

Evil ConCarne #1
Plot: A criminally-insane brain attached to a circus bear plans to take over the world, using his doomsday device as a threat. Suddenly, commandos break in and beat everyone up, destroying the doomsday device in the process. Discouraged by this, Hector orders his chief scientist, Major Dr. Ghastly to create a new body for him, one that which he can dominate the world. After their lunch break and the new body is built, the commandos return, but this time the tides have turned. Hector ends up defeating the commandos, but a weapon of his destroys their HQ, leaving the poor brain hanging on a wire. Suddenly, Boskov, the bear he rejected for the robotic body, returns and saves Hector from a certain death. After this, the two form a weak friendship.

My Review: I never really liked this episode very much until recently. I prefer Billy & Mandy over this show, as there's WAY too many "world domination" shows these days, plus it's not as humorous. Yet I am starting to like Evil ConCarne a lot more nowadays...

Billy & Mandy #2: Skeletons in the Water Closet
One happy morning, Billy's mom Gladys discovers that a Grim Reaper exists in her home and she goes crazy thinking about him. That's basically the whole episode.

My Review: This is the episode that led me to believe that Billy and Mandy is like some remake of Beetlejuice. After all, they do have a similar theme, don't they? And the second episode of BJ's called Skeletons in the Closet! Nice comparison, eh?
Off topic. This episode was never one of my favorites, but it's still pretty good.

Episode 2 Whistly: It is useless to resist..(ducks down)

Billy & Mandy #3: Opposite Day

Grim doesn't know it's opposite day, and Billy doesn't tell him. When they get to Mandy's house, she informs him about opposite day, and they all sit down and play video games. Finally, Grim gives up, and Mandy says that he can do all her chores if he wants. He doesn't, but since it's opposite day, he has to. After a few tedious tasks, the friends sit down and eat. Mandy asks them all if opposite day is terrible, Billy says it's dreadful, and Grim says that he hates them both so much and that he's miserable. Billy pulls out a pie, and Grim gets mad and makes two slices, intended for the kids' heads. He got the pie instead. Billy remarks happily that they deserve a nice treat, and Grim, thinking he's tricked them, says that they DON'T deserve a treat. Mandy tells him then that it wasn't opposite day at all.

Review: I actually liked this one very much. It took a classic idea, and warped it nicely. I like that in a show. ^_^

Evil ConCarne #2: Emotional Skarr

When Hector reveals his "Most Destructive" weapon to General Skarr, he sees this as the perfect opportunity to kill Hector. He's allowed to use it, but all the times he aims at Boskov and Hector, Boskov evades it somehow through his anitcs. Finally, Skarr ambushes boskov with the robot and buries him. Thinking his job is done, he discards the remote control. Unfortunately, the self destruct button was pressed, and Skarr was maimed as well. The next morning, he recieves a rude awakening as Hector messages him, telling him that he's gotta work off 10 mil. dollars for the robot he broke!

Billy & Mandy #3: Look Alive
When Grim reveals to the kids that he wants to be a swimsuit model, he follows his dream. However, he's too scary to get this job, so Billy and Mandy give him a "makeover". The next day, Grim goes back to the modeling agency and gets his job! Well, not exactly. Turns out he was chosen to be an ugly guy in a trunks commercial.

Review: This one was pretty good! You actually got to see Mandy smile for once!! One of the best parts was when you got to see Grim's makeover. *lol*

Episode 3 Whistly: (I'm not sure if this one was this episode's) What are YOU looking at?? (it fades and all you can see are her eyes)

Billy & Mandy #4: Mortal Dilemma
Grim misses "grim reaping", and wants to drag souls off to the underworld as he did in days long past. He tries to when Billy & Mandy are at school, but he can't. From that point, he considered himself one of the good guys as he couldn't reap any more. This episode's got a moral: Everybody's got a purpose.

Review: This one was pretty boring, but it's fun to watch once in a while.

Evil ConCarne #3: Evil Goes Wild

Hector and Boskov are caputred by park rangers, and sent to live in the zoo with more unfortunate bears who were captured in the same way. Hector finds out that the bears are planning to break out and get themselves a free lunch, so Hector assumes himself their leader, and the bears all release their plan. it's successful, but Hector is captured once again- by his own army.

Review: This one's my favorite ECC. It's very funny, and i enjoy irony in a cartoon.

Billy & Mandy #5: Get Out Of My Head!

Grim reveals to Billy that he can take over people's minds, just as they saw in a cheap movie that night. Billy, highly influenced, takes over Mandy's mind and makes her do things completely against her character. When he falls off her bed, however, she seperates from her, and as predicted, she's as mad as heck now. That night, Billy learns that Mandy has taken over his cat, and he's in for some brutal revenge...

Review: This one's my sister's favorite, as she loves Billy. I particularly enjoyed watching Mandy fork herself.

Episode 4: Whistly: It's cruel AND unusual..(At the AND, she leans forward, and then walks away)

Evil ConCarne #4: The Smell of Vengeance I

Hector's day so far is ridden with bad smells, but he starts appreciating them when he learns that Ghastly's created a stink ray for him to dominate the world! He uses it on the world's major cities, and soon, he's messaged, asking him to stop. Hector tells them to surrender the world, but they don't want to. they issue a mysterious ally...(continued in part 2)

Review: This one was about average. It was entertaining, but not up to it's quota. It was better in part II.

Billy & Mandy #6: Fiend Is Like Friend Without the "R"

Billy loves the show Dynobonoids (some cross between Pokemon, Transformers, and Beast Wars??), a show with the motto, "Full on Friendship!". And of course, like all young boys, he's got ALL the merchandise and he preaches it. So one peaceful day, Billy goes off to get a baseball, and a hole in the earth opens up and swallows him. Grim and Mandy then investigate what happened to Billy, and they're swallowed up as well.
The figure responsible for this is a lonely evil spirit, living in the core of the earth. He wanted Billy and Mandy as friends, but all he had was cardboard cutouts of them. So Grim, wanting a break, lets the spirit keep the kids, and he brings the cutouts with him. He decapitates the Billy, and burns the Mandy. Underground, the kids are having the worst time of their lives.
It seems their new friend's merely sadistic, especially to Billy. Mandy tries to help, but to no avail. Grim goes through Billy's lonely room one day, and finds a Dynobonoid toy. It says,
"Full on Friendship", and a whole lot of other things, but the last words were "I love you", and then it died. This inspired Grim to save the kids, which he tries to do, but it ends up Mandy does.

Review: This is the BEST EPISODE!!!! Its the only that's actually "moving", and it has a strong moral, FRIENDSHIP. However, it's the same way it is with the best episodes of most other shows: it only shows them once in a while. At this writing (1/4/02), this episode's only been shown 3 times.. Once on 10/5/01 (I was at a restaurant and missed it), once on 12/14/01 (I was at a sleepover), and on 12/31/01 on the New Year's Eve-il special. That's when I acually caught this episode, and I absolutely loved it.

Evil ConCarne #5: The Smell of Vengeance II

...and that is Cod Commando, Hector's arch-rival! Now we go into an "epic" battle, the fish escapes, and the stink ray is deactivated.

Review: It wasn't much better than part I, but it was..-_-

Episode 5 Whistly: Shouldn't you be playing outside or something? (walks away *i think*)

Evil ConCarne #6: Devolver I

General Skarr, having a very bad day, after being hit in the eye by a golf ball and ordered to get some "red" Kool-Aid, is hit by a devolving beam and de-evolves. This is the story of Major Dr. Ghastly and catching him, no surprises here.

Review: This is another of my favorites! That's probably because I like Ghastly and Skarr, and the line, " Very well then. The red kind.".

Billy and Mandy #7: Recipe for Disaster

The Person Scouts troop X, consisting of Mandy, Grim, Billy, and some other kid is hunting down the most sought after badge- the ULTRA COOKIE badge. They have no luck at first, but with Mandy's IRRESISTABLE charm, they finally sell something. Billy's hungry, and he eats all the cookies, so Grim bakes them new cookies using his great Aunt Kali's secret recipe, which everyone loves! Imagine the look on everyone's face when they find out the cookies are made of night crawlers, dung beetles, and mashed crickets!!

Review: This episode's probably the worst in the series so far. It was quite boring, and the drawing style was just plain WEIRD!!

Evil ConCarne #7: Devolver II

They finally manage to catch Skarr, and give him an antidote. However, he grows a tail.

Review: Same as part I

Episode 6 Whistly: Happiness is a waxen two headed baby.(ducks down)

EvilConCarne #8: Tiptoe Through the Tulips I
When the supreme chief's in hibernation, what happens??

Review: This one wasn't a favorite, but it came pretty close. I love the dialogue, though.

Billy and Mandy #8: A Dumb Wish

One frigid day in November, Billy's spring cleaning and Mandy's watching a silent movie. Billy finds a magic lamp, and out of it comes Grim's mom! Billy asks her to grant wishes, and so Billy wishes he knew what to wish for, Grim takes too long so Mandy snatches it, and she wishes that both of them would shut up. The last wish would be granted to the one who makes Mandy the happiest, so they start. finally, after a piefight, Mandy yells, "STOP!!", and she wishes that everyone in the whole wide world would go away. They do.

Review: This one's my second favorite. Mandy looks real cute in a winter coat!!

Evil ConCarne #9: Tiptoe Through the Tulips II

General skarr takes over and Hector escapes. That's basically it.

Review: a bit hectic, but I liked it.
